Joseph Bob Davis

Joseph Bob Davis, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in St. Joseph of the Pines.

Bob was born in Onslow County, NC on October 4, 1932, son to the late Guy G. and Mary Williams Davis. Bob was a member of Green Springs Baptist Church and was an avid Bluegrass Fan. Bob and Carla were instrumental with the founding of Berean Baptist Church in Fayetteville.  He served in the US Army and was a Korean War Veteran. After the service, Bob worked as an Independent Insurance Salesman before retirement and loved his family dearly. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Carla Faye Davis, a son, Thomas Stuart Davis, two great grandchildren, Pyper and Dawson Davidson, four sisters, Millie West, Margie Packard, Louise Brinson, Phyllis Hahn and three brothers, Jimmy Davis, Don Davis and Sammy Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Davis of Parkton; sons, Joseph Brent Davis and wife Brenda of Blacksburg, SC, Robert Gregory Davis and wife Laurie of Robbins, NC; a daughter in law, Sharon Davis of Fayetteville, NC; a brother, Dr. Leon Davis and wife Sally of Jacksonville, NC; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members.

Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Green Springs Baptist Church, 1095 East Green Springs Rd. Parkton, NC 28371 with Pastor Steve Kirk officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 - 4:00 PM prior to the service.

Burial with Military Honors will follow in Green Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
