Retired SFC Jose Miguel “Rod” Rodriguez, 63, Passed Away Monday, March 10, 2014 in his home.
Jose was born in Puerto Rico on May 14, 1950 to Jose Rodriguez and Maria Elisa Sosa. He retired from the US Army in 1999. His father, Jose Rodriguez preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughter, Maria Elisa Rodriguez of Fayetteville; mother, Maria Elisa Mejia-Sosa of Bronx, NY; mother of his daughter, Elsa M. Ellis “Elsita” of Hope Mills; brother, Fernando Rodriguez of Puerto Rico and Anthony Mejia Jr. of Bronx, NY; sisters, Mary Lou Rodriguez of Tampa, FL, Betty Rodriguez and Janet Rodriguez, both of Homestead, FL; special dog, Zsa Zsa Rodriguez and many extended relatives.
Visitation will be held 7:00-9:00 P.M. Thursday, March 20, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
A Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 21, 2014 at the All American Chapel, Building #C-7242 Ardennes Street between Division and Wood Chapels, Ft Bragg, NC.
A private burial will be 12:00 noon Monday, March 24, 2014 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Rd. Spring Lake, NC 28390.
