Ms. Jessie Mae Frazier Mintz, 89, of Hope Mills, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 18, 2017 surrounded by her family and friends.

Mae was born in Seneca, SC on January 19, 1928 to the late Lemuel and Lona Page Frazier. She married the late James R. Mintz Jr. for sixty-four years and made her home in Hope Mills, NC. Born to this Union were four children which are Carolyn Mintz of Hope Mills, Richard Mintz and his wife Deborah of Easley, SC, Yvonne Dixon of Hope Mills and Eric Mintz of Fayetteville. Mr. and Mrs. Mintz lost a child at birth and Mrs. Mintz lately expressed her desire to sit on the porch of Heaven and rock her child for the first time. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren 16 great great grandchildren and a host of extended family members. Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by 4 brothers and 7 sisters.

For many years she worked at Roses Discount Stores where she was a Department Manager sharing her infectious smile with many people she met on a daily basis, but most of her life she was a Mother and Grandmother. Mae was a faithful member of College Lakes Baptist Church, a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She was an avid bird lover and watcher. She enjoyed making crafts. In fact, James would cut the crafts out of wood and Mae would paint and design then. She loved decorating her house and making it home. She always greeted her family at the door with a kiss and hug. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Visitation will be 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at College Lakes Baptist Church, 4704 Ramsey St. Fayetteville, NC 28311.

Funeral Services will begin 11:00 AM Tuesday following the visitation with Pastors Samuel Lanier, Jerry Johnson and Robert Staples officiating.

Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
