Mr. Jerome Allen Craig, 71, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 in First Health Hoke Hospital.
Jerome was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 7, 1947 to the late Ben and Evelyn Gray Craig. He served in the US Air Force as a Fire Fighter. After service to his Country, he worked as a Fireman in Maryland and then moved to Fayetteville and became Station 1 Chief on Ft. Bragg before his retirement. Chief Craig loved telling stories, joking around, playing guitar, listening to the scanner, Western Movies, going to the beach and had a go to plan for everything. Most of all he loved his family dearly and would do anything for them. Chief Craig was loved by his family and he will be greatly missed.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ben Anderson Craig Jr and Charles Craig
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Vickie Craig; sons, Jerome Craig II, Darin Keith Craig, Michael Jason Craig, Jeremy Allen Craig and Joshua Ryan Craig; a daughter, Kellie Ann Allen and her husband Billy; a brother, Ronald D. Craig; a sister, Sue Ellen Craig; 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of extended family members.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 1:00 and 2:30 PM, Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Rivers of Living Water Church, 1764 Bingham Dr. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Paul B. Keeter officiating.
Burial will follow in Cumberland Cemetery on Bingham Drive.
