Jennifer Lauren (Drozd) Cantu

Jennifer Lauren Cantu, 27, of Cameron passed away on May 28, 2018.

Jennifer was an immensely intelligent and talented woman who had her life tragically cut short on May 27, 2018. Jennifer served proudly and honorably in the United States Army, both active duty and the reserves. She had a bright future ahead of her as she perused her passion and love for science as well as helping others. Jennifer obtained two Associates Degrees and continued her education by attending North Carolina State University and majoring in Microbiology. She was gifted in the science field and desired to make a difference in her community as well as to change the world. Jennifer loved her “fur babies” and was looking forward to one day experiencing life as the incredible mother that we all knew she would have been. She was a shining light in this world, an amazing daughter, and an incredible friend. She will be missed but never forgotten. Her memory will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who knew her.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at LaFayette Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 3:00 PM. A reception will follow the service at The Twisted Grape, 54 Melody Ln., Cameron, NC 28326.
