Ms. Janetter Groves, 67, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Ms. Groves was born in Robeson County on June 1, 1946 to her late paternal father, Sanford Hunt, her late mother Dela Mae Locklear Gibbs and her husband Vance Gibbs. She was a member of Galilee Free Will Holiness Church and retired from Purolator. She is preceded in death by her husband, Taft Edward Groves, a son, Jimmy Earl Locklear and a brother, Garland Ray Gibbs.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Groves of Fayetteville; daughters, Joann Groves Caputo and her husband Kenneth of Carthage and Felicia Nicole Jacobs of Fayetteville; brother, Thomas Gibbs and his wife Linda of Fayetteville; sister, Joyce Gibbs Person and her husband James of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Galilee Free Will Holiness Church, 3525 Sunnyside School Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28312.
Funeral Services will be 3:30 PM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Galilee Free Will Holiness Church, 3525 Sunnyside School Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28312 with Reverend Jerry Groves officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Cape Fear Baptist Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
