On April 19th, 2024, in the comfort of her home, Jamiyah departed this life into the presence of the most high God at the age of 8.
Jamiyah left an incredible impression on those who called her daughter, sister, granddaughter, goddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and student. Jamiyah’s heartfelt spirit, radiant smile and compassionate heart captivated everyone who had the chance to know her. Jamiyah was a beacon of kindness with such a gentle soul.
Jamiyah Nicole Cunningham was born on December 3rd, 2015 to Ashely Washington and Jamar Cunningham in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She attended 2nd grade at E. Melvin Honeycutt Elementary School. Despite life’s challenges, she faced them with courage and resilience, teaching us all the true meaning of strength and #Jamiyah Strong. Her laughter echoed through our home, a melody of happiness that will forever resonate in our heart and memories. She was an avid gamer and amazing artist.
Jamiyah leaves to cherish her mother – Ashely Washington; her father – Jamar Cunningham; her sister Aniylah Cunningham; her grandfathers – Joseph Brunais, Jr., and Aundrey Cunningham; her grandmothers – April Walker and Cynthia Cunningham; her great grandmothers - Mary Brunais and Kay Butler; her great grandfather Joseph Brunais Sr.; her aunts - Mary Brunais, Breanna Walker, Carly Walker and Alicia Woods; her uncles - Joseph Brunais III (Miranda Brunais), Jarred Brunais (Ashley Brunais) and Jamell Cunningham (Callista Cunningham) and a host of relatives, friends and classmates.
Previously departed loved ones include great grandmothers – Helen Billinger and Lucille Cunningham; great grandfathers – Joseph Billinger and Lewis Cunningham.
Though she may have left this life, her memory will live in our hearts, a testament to her profound impact on those blessed to know her.
