James Melvin Tillman

Mr. James Melvin Tillman, 55, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, August 20, 2012.

Mr. Tillman was born May 4, 1957 in Dunn, NC to the late Willie F. and Nellie Mae Holmes Tillman. James was owner and operator of a family owned Motel in Fayetteville. James and his long-time companion Liz were members of the Coastal Tarheels RV Club and had many happy memories of all the tours they took. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Fayetteville and will be missed by all who knew him. James is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gary F. Tillman.

Surviving James is his long time loving companion, Elizabeth (Liz) Wilson of Fayetteville; his niece, Melissa Reed and her husband Clint of Hope Mills; his nephew, Brandon Tillman of Hope Mills; his great nephew, Shane Reed of Hope Mills. His many special cousins along the east coast and his beloved dog, Mr. Wiggles will miss him.

Visitation with be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 219 Hull Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, August 24, 2012 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 219 Hull Road, Fayetteville, NC 28303 with the Reverends Jim Boyle and David Crumpler officiating.
Burial will follow in the Old Bluff Cemetery in Wade, NC.
