Dateline: Raeford Mr. James Franklin Rucker, 46, died Friday, January 10, 2014 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
James was born in Selma, Alabama on March 28, 1967 to the late James C. and Wilna Riley Rucker. James was the director of a Boys Home for troubled teens. He served in the US Army and is a Persian Gulf War Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Toni Rucker of Lawley, AL; his daughters Stephanie Rucker, Rebecca Rucker and Nichole Truitt, all of Lawley AL.; and his brother Andrew Garate of Raeford, NC.
Visitation will be 6:00-7:00 PM Wednesday January 15 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Service will be 7:00 P.M. January 15, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home with Chaplain (MAJ) David Schnarr officiating.
Burial will be at Pineland Memorial Park Cemetery in Centerville, Alabama at a later date.
