Retired Air Force TSGT James Levon Bryson Sr., 77 , went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, May 23, 2013 in UNC Chapel Hill Hospital.
James was born on November 11, 1935 in Jackson County, NC to the late L. Roy and Zell Bryson. James retired from the US Air Force after 20 years, loved to fish, hunt pecans, play cards, and most of all, spend time with his family. He attended Antioch Church of God and will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Trula Pope Bryson of Fayetteville; sons, Jim Bryson and his wife Donna, Wayne Bryson and his wife Phyllis, Dennis Bryson and Jeff Bryson, all of Fayetteville; daughter, Joyce Bryson Nobles and her husband Don of Fayetteville; sister, Onita Sellars of Cowpens, SC; grandsons, Jayme Bryson (Cylie), Jason Bryson (Candice), Justin Bryson (Mallory), Philip Adams Jr. (Arika) and Timothy Adams; step granddaughter, Karen Harris (Terry); step great grandson, Terry Harris Jr.
Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Lafayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville,, NC 28304.
Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, May 31, 2013 at Lafayette Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Johnson officiating.
Burial with Full Military Honors will be 12:00 PM following the service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 400 Murchison Rd, Spring Lake, NC 28390.
