James Ervin Beasley, Sr.

James Ervin Beasley, 82, of Fayetteville, died peacefully in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on July 13, 2023 surrounded by his family.

James was born in Rockfish, NC on February 16, 1941 to the late Ervin Wilson Beasley and Erma Nell Bundy Beasley. He made a living as a long-time employee of S & F Amusement which he loved dearly. He was also a devoted member of Arran Lake Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by one son, Mr. James Ervin Beasley, Jr.; one brother, Ervin Wilson Beasley and one sister, Barbara Roman.

He is survived by his wife, Gwen R. Beasley; one son, James Aaron Beasley (Katie); two daughters, Patricia Stancil (Doug) and Terri Beasley; two sisters, Carolyn Turner and Nancy Carter; four grandchildren, Devin, Nicole, Addison and Harper; three great grandchildren, Bryce, Noah and Taylor and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Family will receive friends 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Arran Lake Baptist Church, 1130 Bingham Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Arran Lake Baptist Church with Reverend’s Jeff Isenhour, Andrew Clark and Jimmy Atkinson officiating.

Interment will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

In leu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the Fayetteville Animal Protective Society.
