Mr. James “Buddy” Barefoot, 62, Passed Away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
Buddy was born in Cumberland County on November 3, 1951 to the late William and Bertie Lee Barefoot. He was a Site Attendant for Cumberland County before retiring this past December. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Baby Girl Barefoot.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Barefoot of Fayetteville; a son, James Barefoot and his wife Renee of Fayetteville; a daughter, Tiffany Barefoot Caulder and her husband Billy of Fayetteville; brothers, John Barefoot and his wife Annie of Fayetteville and William Glenn Barefoot of Raleigh; a sister, Mary Merritt and her husband Marvin of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Anthony Holcomb, Jamie Barefoot and Samantha Barefoot.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 PM Friday, April 4, 2013 at Whispering Pines Church, Lee Hill Circle, Fayetteville, NC.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304 with Rev. Gary Laviner officiating.
