Mrs. Helen Locklear, 80, went home to be with Jesus Thursday, November 24, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family.


Helen was born in Scotland County, NC on August 24, 1936 to the late Walter and Lula Goins Jackson. She was a homemaker for most of her life, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sons, Walter Roscoe Locklear and Archie Junior Locklear, a grandson, Hoss Jacobs and several brothers and sisters.


She is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, Roscoe Locklear of Fayetteville; sons, Stoney Locklear and wife Brenda of Wagram, NC and Anthony Ray Locklear and wife Debra of Wagram, NC; 2 daughters, Anna L. Jacobs and husband Larry P. of Fayetteville and Mary Locklear and husband Tyson of Fayetteville; 1 sister, Madie Jackson Locklear of Maxton, NC; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of extended family members.


Visitation will be 6:00-9:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Macedonia Holiness Church, 207 Indian Dr. Fayetteville, NC 28312.


Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Macedonia Holiness Church with Reverend’s Terry Cummins and Ken Simmons officiating.


Burial will follow in Sycamore Freewill Holiness Church Cemetery, 14901 Sycamore Church Rd. Maxton, NC 28364.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Association of the Carolinas, 1515 Mockingbird Lane, Suite 1055, Charlotte, NC 28209 or to the Dementia Society of America, PO Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901.
