Retired CWO3 Harold Allen Waldrup , 64, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 in Cape Fear Valley Hospital.
CWO3 Waldrup was born January 5, 1949 in Anniston, AL to the late James and Edna Boone Waldrup. He retired in 1990 from the US Army as Chief Warrant officer 3 and then went to work and retired from Old Dominion Freight in Fayetteville. Harold loved playing golf and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Waldrup.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ruth E. Waldrup of Fayetteville; two sons, Chad Waldrup and Troy Waldrup, both of Fayetteville; a brother, James Waldrup JR. of Aberdeen MD; two sisters, Nelda Griffey of Aberdeen, MD and Rita West of Plattsmouth, NE; three grandchildren, Kala Waldrup of Clayton, NC, Brandi Cunanan of Fayetteville and Amber Wilkins of Fayetteville.
Visitation for the family will be 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Main Post Chapel, Building 1-1510 Corner of Sedgewick and Alexander Streets, Ft Bragg, NC 28310. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Donald Ball officiating.
Interment with Full Military Honors will follow the service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.
