Mr. Gilbert Jacobs, 67, Passed Away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Cypress Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington.
Gilbert was born in Robeson County, NC on January 28, 1948 to the late Willie B. and Carrie Mae Freeman Jacobs. He worked in construction before retiring. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald Dean Jacobs and Harold Lynn Jacobs.
He is survived by two brothers, Richard C. Jacobs of Roland and Samuel Jacobs of Sanford; a sister, Joycie Mae Carter of Loup City, NE; a special niece, Melissa Carter (Jay) of Sneads Ferry; a special nephew, Kenny Ray Dudley of Nebraska and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, February 28, 2015 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Cape Fear Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Groves officiating.
