Gertrudis (Theresa) (Vreeling) Turner

Ms. Gertrudis (Theresa) Turner, 79, passed to her heavenly home Tuesday, July 30, 2019 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Theresa was born in Holland on August 5, 1939, daughter to the late Adolf Johannes Vreeling and Frederika Mulder Vreeling. She worked in the Food Service at Kroger before retiring and was a very active member of Cumberland Baptist Church. Her loves were gardening, playing bingo, cooking, working with her flowers and she especially loved her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Turner Sr. and her siblings, John Vreeling, Gerald Vreeling, Joe Vreeling and Theresia Vreeling.

She is survived by her son, Werner Andrew Wozniak of Fayetteville; a daughter, Inge Marrero and her husband Jose of Kansas; siblings, Dina Hanema, Margaret Roberts, Johanne Luiken, Aleida Tambakis, Elizabeth Germaine, Betty Vreeling, Bernie Vreeling and Cobus Vreeling; 3 grandchildren, Kyle Wozniak, Kaitlin Loeder and Jeremiah Orr; 8 great grandchildren, Seth, Abigail, Mason, Ellie, Brayden, Connor, Wyatt and Hunter.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Cumberland Baptist Church, 4957 Cumberland Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306

Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 Noon at the church with Reverends Tim Baugus and Cliff Covington officiating.

Burial will follow in Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery in Rockfish.
