Hope Mills

Mr. Franklin Monroe, better known as, Allen, was born on February 19,1999 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina to his proud and loving parents, Franklin and Yvonne Monroe.

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the heaven. A time to be born and a time to die; and a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what has been planted. On March 21, 2020 God in his infinite wisdom took Allen from rest to reward.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

Allen received his education in the public schools of Cumberland County.  He was a 2017 graduate of Douglas Byrd High School, where he played the drums in the All American Band.  After Allen’s graduation he pursued his passion as a drummer, sharing his music talents across North Carolina. Allen was well known for his musical gifts and even spent time volunteering his talents at nursing homes and senior services.

To know Allen is know that his smile and sense of humor would light up the room.

Walking down heaven’s highway and approaching Heaven’s Gates in unity is his nephew Cameron Emery. Awaiting their arrival around Heavens Throne his loving sister, April Tew.

He leaves  a wealth of wonderful memories to be cherished by  his loving parents, Franklin and Yvonne Monre; two sisters Milissa Emery (Keith Thomas),  and Louanna L Cordova; one brother Brad Emery; his grandmother, Edna Sommhofe;  four  nieces, Chrisdeona, Alanna, Alessia, Keynadia; two nephews Brandon, Rayshon, and  the apple of his eyes his girlfriend Ahannah Henson.  Allen’s  smile and amazing sense of humor will be missed by  all who knew and loved  him.

“Family is not only whose blood you carry;  it's who you love and who loves you back, and blood can never make us any closer.” To my extended family, Chirs Lockamy, Nick Lockamy, James Butler, Johnathan Locklear and Tasha Locklear, Savahha Ling-Keels, Wayne Lockamy, Devin Lockamy, Zack Lockamy.
