Mr. Francisco Menchaca Sanchez, 93, passed away Thursday October 9, 2014 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Francisco was born in Mercedes, TX on May 27, 1921 to the late Donicio and Augustina Menchaca Sanchez. He was a mechanic before he retired and a Navy Veteran. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Francisco Javier Sanchez.
He is survived by his sons, Javier Perez of Brunette, TX, Manuel Sanchez of Davidson, MI, Raul Sanchez of Arlington, TX and Tomas Sanchez of Weslaco, TX; daughter, Maria Sanchez Torres of Fayetteville, Yolanda Chamberlain of Raeford, Lillia Margarita Silva of Plymouth, IN, Silvia Sanchez of Ludington, MI, Teresa Sanchez Cruz and Thelma Sanchez Cruz, both of Scottsville, MI; a sister, Julia Gonzalez of Mercedes, TX; 78 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass was held today, October 10, 2014 at the Pope Chapel on Ft. Bragg.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date in Weslaco, TX with burial at Highland Memorial Park in Weslaco, TX.
