Etta Mae Jackson, 84, of Fayetteville passed away on October 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband; Milton Wesley Jackson, Sr.
Etta was born and raised in Fayetteville and remained here all of her life. She was a long-time member of Grace Baptist Church, where she served faithfully as a Sunday School Teacher, sang in the choir and was well respected by all. Etta loved to cook for her family and the church. Her specialties were chicken and pastry, cakes and pies, and all kinds of vegetables. She was always in the kitchen and could be counted on for delicious homemade biscuits. Etta was a skilled seamstress and she created all kinds of gowns for her daughter’s wedding. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and even taught one to sew.
Etta is survived by her daughter; Deborah Counterman, son; Milton (Laurel) Jackson, Jr., son; Richard (Rhonda) Jackson, son; Robert (Rebecca) Jackson, 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Grace Baptist Church.
