Mr. Etienne Oggeri passed away Tuesday, April 15 2014 in First Health Moore Regional Hospital.

Mr. Oggeri was born in Dalat, South Vietnam. It was there that he met his present wife, Lechi, sister of Madame Ngo Dinh Nhu, First Lady of South Vietnam. Her disapproval of the relationship led to his expulsion from the country and they eventually settled in Fayetteville, NC. He was a renowned big game hunter. He became an Intelligence research analyst at Fort Bragg. After his retirement he started writing books. One of them, “I Killed for a Living”, was published by Safari Press, CA and was selected as one of the American Classics of the Big Game Hunting series.

He is survived by his wife, Lechi Oggeri, a local artist of Fayetteville.

Funeral Services for Mr. Oggeri will be private.
