Ms. Ethel Smith Suggs, 88, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 in Southeastern Regional Hospice House in Lumberton.

Ms. Suggs was born in Richmond County, NC on March 29, 1926 to the late Oliver and Mamie McLemore Smith. She was a founding member of Crystal Springs Chapel in Fayetteville, a devoted Christian and loved the Lord. Ethel loved her family and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Emmett C. Suggs and a granddaughter, Lindsay Fay Suggs.

Her family is left to cherish her loving memory, sons, Pastor Bruce Suggs and his wife Patricia of Fayetteville and Butch Suggs and his wife Janice of Fayetteville; a daughter, Debe Canupp and her husband Jimmy of Clarkton; a brother, Curtis Smith of Florida and two sisters, Beatrice Buie and Margaret Robinson, both of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 PM Friday, January 2, 2015 at Crystal Springs Chapel, 1465 Crystal Spring Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306.

A Funeral Celebration Service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Crystal Springs Chapel with Pastor Bruce Suggs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Community Chapel Church Cemetery, 3519 Camden Road Exd. Fayetteville, NC 28306.
