Mr. Edwin Kay Davis, 79, Passed Away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Kay as everyone knew him was born in Macon, GA on March 7, 1935 to the late Lonnie Leon Davis Sr. and Glodie Moulton Davis. Kay was a US Army Veteran that lived life to the fullest. He loved to scuba dive, ride his motorcycle and just live life. He was an avid Georgia Tech Fan, and that was his team. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Lonnie Leon Davis Jr. and a sister, Reba Landino.
Kay is survived by his children, Jeffrey E. Davis and his wife Sheri of Monroe, GA and Jodi E. Hester and her husband Tommy of Fayetteville; brothers, C. Alton Davis and Bert Davis, both of Macon, GA; sisters, Marion Harrell and Katheryne Silva, both of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Emily Hester, Kady Hester, Austin Hester, Ben Hester and his wife Kristen, Lindsey Barge and her husband Matt, Lauren Davis and Olivia Davis; great grandchildren, Lexie Barge and Jaxson Barge.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2014 at Snows Memorial Chapel, 3077 PioNono Ave., Macon, GA, 31206.Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at New Elim Baptist Church Cemetery, 4368 Hartley Bridge Rd. Macon, GA 31216 with Reverend Jeffrey Scholar officiating.
Arrangements for the family are in the care of LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304 and Snows Memorial Chapel, 3077 PioNono Ave., Macon, GA, 31206.
