Mr. Dion William McNair, 16, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Dion was born June 25, 1998 to Notasha Walker and Henry McNair at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville.
Dion was called home January 20, 2015 at 9:15 PM. He was in the company of his mother, father, aunt and close family friend Robert Evans. Dion attended South View High School and was an extraordinary young man. He loved skateboarding, four wheeling and helping others. Most of all he loved his family and close friends. You never saw Dion without his best friends, Shawn, Eddy, Kabron and Byrd. Dion’s smile lit up rooms and made it impossible to be angry at him. He will truly be missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Henry McNair of Fayetteville; mother, Notasha Walker of Fayetteville; brother, Ma’Kiye McNair of Fayetteville; sisters, Kimmie Locklear and Haley Harrell-Aung and her husband Zaw of Fayetteville; grandparents, Kimberly and Joe Orr, Henry McNair and Helen Graham; aunts, Anita Haddock, Christl Montrond and Jennifer Boyd; uncles, Jermaine Graham, Joey Boyd, Jeffrey Graham, Travis McNair and Lendell McNair. Niece, Kylie Bill; God mother, Jolina Aguon; God brothers, Joseph Aguon, Keshaun Brown; a host of cousins, extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 26, 2015 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 400 Campbell Ave. Fayetteville, NC 28301 with pastor S. Lee Downing officiating.
Burial will follow in Grahams Resting Place Cemetery in Fayetteville.
