Dianna (Porter) Newman

Dianna Porter Newman, 70, of Raeford, NC died on Monday, June 20, 2022 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, NC.

Dianna was born in Washington, DC, on February 5, 1952, daughter to the late Henry Hubbard and Lobelia Porter. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and wife. To most she was known as Aunt Dianna, Grand Mama, MA, or Lady D. Dianna worked as a custodian for Eagle Maintenance, and enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking and fine jewelry. She was noted to always wear her ‟Bling Bling” and enjoyed living life. She loved unconditionally her friends and family and loved to have a good time.

Dianna was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph H. Newman; and two sons, Anthony Newman and Michael D. Newman Sr.

She is survived by her husband, Elvis Cuevas; her daughters, Marvette Newman, of Glen Burnie, MD, Collette Newman, of Atlanta, GA, and I. Michelle Newman-Smith, of Fayetteville, NC; her sisters, Teresa Jones, Glendia Holt, Lobelia Hubbard-Arther, Brenda Moss, and Jacqulyn Houston; her brothers, Greg Taylor, Donzell Robinson, and Melvin Hughes; seven grandchildren, Sergio, Brittany, Micheal Jr., Dae Dae, Chandler, King, and Nori; and a host of extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, June 27, 2022 at LaFayette Funeral Home located at 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

May she rest in heavenly peace, knowing that she will never be forgotten, in the name of Jesus. AMEN
