Diane (Roberson) Pratt

November 6, 1948 — July 19, 2017

Pastor Diane Roberson Pratt was born in Philadelphia on November 6, 1948 to the loving parents of the late Walter and Pauline Roberson; she was the fourth child of eleven children. Diane and her siblings were very well known for being from such a large family, everyone would always know a “Roberson girl when they saw one. Her siblings Victor and Ronald preceded her in death.

She was raised at an early age in the Elmwood section of Philadelphia. Pastor Diane was educated in the Philadelphia School system, she attended Tilden Jr high, where she ran track and was on the glee club.  She also attended West Philadelphia High School; she later obtained her GED and became a phlebotomist. Later in life Pastor Diane began taking courses for psychology in North Carolina.  Pastor Diane worked at various jobs; she was a welder at Philadelphia Navy Yard for many Years. Pastor Diane was also employed at Thomas Jefferson University, and retired from there.

In the late 60’s, Diane met and married Gregory Garrison and from their union God blessed them with three beautiful children, Crystal, Gregory and Brenda.

Pastor Diane loved to sing and she danced professionally for a brief time. At an early age, Pastor Diane answered the call to Christ, she flourished in her faith. She was united with many churches throughout her life and for many years, she sang gospel with her family, The Roberson Family Singers and the Gilmore Family.

Diane met Audwin A. Pratt and fell in love with her soul mate and on September 18, 1993 she married the man of her dreams.  Diane and Audwin were truly inseparable and unforgettable as a couple, they did everything together. Pastor Diane truly loved to praise and worship God through song, especially with her husband. Diane exemplified and demonstrated unconditional love to all that she came across, her love for Christ led her to ministry and she became a minister. Pastor Diane and Apostle Audwin built a beautiful ministry together; Conqueror’s in Christ, they nurtured and poured Gods love into anyone that was open to Christ.  They lovingly nurtured each other as they became a dynamic duo, she was his queen and he was her king. In there union she lovingly became a mother to three more children Quishan, Derjanel and Shamekia.

Diane was an excellent cook; she loved to read, draw, poems, write short stories and  listen to music. She was a prankster and often pranked many family and friends. She was very loving, kind and nurturing and her home was always open. Her beautiful smile and love was always available, her hugs were often sought, because she gave the best love filled hugs always. Diane loved her family and her friends dearly. She missed them very much, but she made sure to have a special relationship with her sisters and her three very special friends Wanda Williams, Roberta Artis and Joyce Jones. Her and her sisters had a special sister line that Diane loved and cherished.

Pastor Diane leaves to cherish her love and memory, her loving and devoted husband Apostle Audwin A. Pratt, her children, Crystal, Gregory (Chanda) and Brenda; her step children Quishan, Derjanel, Shamekia, four grand children Thomas, Gavin, Quinn and Rhyan; her brother Rowland (Pat), her sister Brenda Cuyler (Reverend Ben Cuyler), Wanda Carney  (Reverend Wayne Carney), Patricia Lamb (Marcus ), Karen  Taylor, Carla Jackson(Edgar), Donna Dobbins (Dr. Walter Dobbins), Helene Jay (Albert), sisters in love, Veronica and Cyndi, God son Ross Taylor; Two aunts and one uncle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at All American Chapel. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM. Interment will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Main Post Cemetery.
