Mrs. Denzil Mae Hernandez, 79, Passed Away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Autumn Care in Raeford, NC.
Mrs. Hernandez was born on December 31, 1934 to the late Utley Charles Pridgen and Ruby White Pridgen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Medal of Honor Recipient CPL Rodolfo “Rudy” Hernandez. Mrs Hernandez was a Bookkeeper.
She is survived by her brothers Dr. John Mark Hall (Ann) of Clarkton, NC and James Alton Hall of Ivanhoe, VA.; her sisters JoAnn Pridgen (Lester) of Whiteville, NC, Eleanor Pridgen (Herbert) of Whiteville, NC and Mary Ellen Bowen (Bronnie) of Sunset Beach, NC.; her step son, Rudy Hernandez (Annlisa) of Canoga Park, CA; her step daughters Martha Reclusado of Fayetteville, NC and Ana Hernandez of Olalla, WA and her half- sisters Kay Grant, Jane Ward, Charlene Larkins, Diane Kharrat and Rose Walls.
Funeral Services will be 9:00 AM Friday, February 7, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home with Reverend Michael Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow the service at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 420 Murchison Rd. Spring Lake, NC 28390.
