Born in Cumberland, Maryland on September 15, 1966, he was the son of the late Dennis O. Nelson Sr. and Florence E. Nelson (Sue).
Dennis was a loving son, father, brother and uncle. He was a loyal friend to many and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed
Dennis is survived by his mother, Florence E. Nelson of Fayetteville; daughter, Courtney R. Nelson of Fayetteville; two sisters, Rhonna Reinhold of Ft. Carson, Colorado and Rhea Castro and her husband Frankie Castro of Jacksonville, Florida; a niece, Brittany Castro of Jacksonville, Florida and a nephew and his wife James and Kathleen Castro of Ft. Hood, Texas; great nephew, Caden Castro and stepmother Susie Nelson of Hope Mills.
Visitation will be held 6:00 PM -7:30 PM Monday, November 11, 2013 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304. A Memorial Service will begin at 7:30 with Reverend Ralph Darch officiating.
