Mr. Jones was born in Columbus County on February 19, 1954 to Lacy Ray Jones and Lena Hammonds Berry. He was preceded in death by his father, Lacy, his foster parents, John David and Bertha Jones, his brothers, Ellis Hammonds, Dennis Berry, and his sister, Babara Ann Jones.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his Mother, Lena Hammonds Berry; sons, Jonathan David Allen Jones and his wife Sonya C. Jones of New Jersey, Brandon Matthew Jones of Fayetteville; his daughter Ariel CeAnna Jones of Pembroke; his brothers, Ronald Berry of Laurinburg, Lacy Ray Jones of SC, Bobby Ray Jones and Billy Ray Jones, both of Charlotte; his sisters, Dorene Spight and Emmogene Berry both of Fayetteville, Virginia Ann of Charlotte; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oxendine Cemetery in Pembroke, NC.
