David Gerald Sippel

David Gerald Sippel , 72, of Fayetteville was born June 13, 1951 to the late William and Elanor Goodwin Sippel and departed this life Wednesday, April, 24, 2024 at the VA Medical Center of Fayetteville, NC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sippel was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Sippel.

David was a proud Army Veteran who enjoyed time serving his country. Adjacent to his military love, he enjoyed building furniture, bowling and playing Santa for The Department of Social Services Children’s Fund. David was a loving person who will be missed dearly by his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Cynthia Russell; one son, Donald Sippel; two daughters, Stephanie Smitherman and Jane Sippel; one sister, Barbara Swift; two grandchildren, Zackery Sippel and Faith Sippel; one special niece, Jeanette Godwin; several other nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
