Retired MSG David Paul Koston Sr., 70, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2013 in Highland House of Fayetteville.
David was born on January 19, 1942 in Allegheny County, PA, to the late Charles and Martha Thorne Koston. He retired from the US Army after serving 30 years.
Surviving MSG Koston are his wife of 44 years, Leslie A. Koston of the home; two son, Michael James Koston of Fayetteville, David P. Koston Jr. and his wife Tammie of Ft. Gordon, GA; daughter, Christine M. Lang of Butler, PA; five grandchildren, Paul and Thomas Lang of Butler, PA, Alyssa, Alea and Noah Koston of Fort Gordon, GA; two brothers, William Koston of Texas and Albert Koston of New Mexico; sister, Sarah Koston of State College, PA.
Visitation for the family will be 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, January 17, 2013 at LaFayette Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6651 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 18, 2013 at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with Reverend Randall E. Rogers Jr. officiating.
