Daughtry Lee ‟Jefro” Morrison, 67, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 in his home.
Daughtry was born in Cumberland County on November 30, 1954 in Fayetteville, NC to Lonnie Lee Morrison and Vivian Jacobs Morrison who preceded him in death.
Daughtry retired as a Maintenance worker for Cumberland County. He was also good at buffing and polishing tile floors. He loved people and could be found anywhere at any given time, sometimes walking or someone may have given him a ride. He visited a lot of Churches and was a member of Cape Fear Baptist Church since childhood. He was currently attending Seminole Holiness Church where he attended faithfully and was a licensed minister since 2008. He always went to Hardees on 301 and would sit with the homeless people and would go to the Hospital to visit the sick and pray for them. Those that knew Daughtry or ‟Jefro”, all loved him and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings, Edward M. Morrison and wife Varonica of Lillington, Sheila K. Morrison of Fayetteville and Shell Morrison and wife Sherrill of Fayetteville; many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Cape Fear Baptist Church, 100 Indian Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28312. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM following the visitation with Reverends Michael Jacobs, Ricky Burnett, Jerry Groves and Brant Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow in Sandy Ridge Freewill Holiness Church Cemetery, 2028 Fields Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312.
