Datha Jane (Mills) Johnson

Datha Jane Johnson, 59, of Fayetteville, died at Womack Army Medical Center on October 2, 2021. Datha was born, to the late George and Karen Steinman, on May 13, 1962 in Topeka Kansas.

Ms. Johnson served in The United States Air Force as a Food Service Specialist and prior to her honorable discharge was promoted to the rank of SSGT. While enlisted she received the following awards and decorations: AF Good Conduct Medal w/ 1 OLC, AF Overseas Service Short Tour Ribbon w/ 1 OLC, AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon, and AF Training Ribbon.

Along with her parents, Datha, is preceded in death by her son, Devin Ness; and her sister, Rebecca Mills.

Left to cherish her beloved memory is two daughters, Sarah Hughs (Mark Legg), of the home, and Heather Fogle, of Gastonia, NC; two sisters, Charlene Bond, of Villa Rica, GA, and Arnette Taylor, of Oak Harbor, WA; six grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.

No services have been planned at this time, however the family welcomes phone calls, text messages, and on-line condolences.
