PV2 Daniel “Justin” Parry was born in Cumberland County on April 18, 1993 to Tiffany Blackwell Peters and Jack Daniel Parry. He graduated from Lakes High School in Washington, in 2011 and joined the US Army serving as a Combat Medic Specialist Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Daniel will forever be in out hearts, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Daniel preferred to be called Justin, which is a small testament of how he loved to do things differently, and indeed he was a unique spirit with a variable myriad of interests and hobbies. The expanse of his knowledge surrounding his interest's was boggling, needless to say… he was a huge nerd who was always open for good conversation and debate, especially about the things he was passionate about. There are far too many to list, but a few of his major interests included the fantastical universes of Star Wars, Assassin’s Creed, Halo, Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Star Gate, Bleach, Scooby Doo, and he absolutely loved his audio books. Daniels top hobby was karaoke, bar none, but some of his other favorites included spending time with friends and family, going on new adventures, and living life to his true fullest. He could be listening to a book while watching a show on his tablet and a movie on the tv, while playing a game and holding a conversation all at once. Daniel multi-tasked like a boss. He was a true star at life, and all those who knew him, either loved him or immediately warmed up to him before long. He was the type of person who could walk into a place knowing no one, but leave with the keys and 20 new friends. Daniel loved people and loved to help people. He will always be remembered.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Tiffany Peters and stepfather Michael Peters of North Carolina; dad Michael Taylor of Arizona and father, Jack Parry (JD) and stepmother Lori Parry of Alabama; brothers Phillip Parry of Arizona, Patrick Taylor of Japan, and Joshua Peters of North Carolina; sisters Brianna Lee of Missouri, Kayleigh Brown of Alabama, and Hayden & Marley Peters of North Carolina; grandparents Sieglinda Melvin & Ronald Brower of North Carolina, Vernon Blackwell (Neal) of North Carolina, and Mary Anne & Don Taylor of New York; niece and nephew Briley & Baron Brown of Alabama; aunt and uncle Ashley & Allen McDuffie of North Carolina; cousins Olivia & Joshua McDuffie of North Carolina; as well as lots of beloved family members and friends.
