Cyrus William Wood III

Cyrus William Wood III, 62, of Saint Pauls passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 in Duke University Hospital. 

Cyrus was born in Robeson County, NC on March 19, 1962, son to the late Cyrus William Wood Jr. and Virginia Josephine Perry Wood. 

He joined the US Navy serving from September 1980 to August 1992. After his Military service, he became an independent adjustor in the Insurance business. Cyrus had a great love for his family and was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a very hard worker and loved being at home, cooking and being around his family and friends. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Diaz and Emma Jean Owens.

Cyrus is survived by his wife, Tammy Denise Wood of the home; a son, William Daniel Wood of Fayetteville; a daughter, Arren Wood of Angier; sisters, Emily Joann Wood and Lela Rose McMillan, both of Saint Pauls, Sylvia Steinkopf of Hope Mills; 2 grandchildren, Aaliyah Leilani Little, Kaleb Siasoi Wood and many extended family members.

Cyrus was loved by many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
