Ms. Christine Locklear Chapman, 77, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 in her home.
Christine was born in Hoke County on May 30, 1938 to Willie Locklear and Ethel Maynor Locklear. She was a homemaker. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Whitford Chapman Sr., a son, Jerry Maynor and siblings, Nola Hodges, Johnson Locklear, Cecil Locklear and Eunice Moore.
She is survived by her children, sons, William Chapman (Karen) of Hope Mills; Willie E. Maynor of the home; Joseph Maynor of Hope Mills; step son, Edgar Chapman Jr. of linden; daughters, Nora Gray (James) of Lumber Bridge, Francine Jackson (Sammy), Anita File (Joe), Nola Hall (Ron), all of Fayetteville, Denise Naylor (Duron) of Raeford and Janet Darden (Martin) of Fayetteville; Twenty one grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 PM Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Crystal Spring Chapel, 1465 Crystal Spring Chapel Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28306.
Funeral Services will follow the visitation at the church with Pastor Bruce Suggs officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Cape Fear Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayetteville.
