Chavis Brown

Chavis Bryan Brown, 14, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013 in Duke University Medical Center.

Chavis was born in Cumberland County on November 13, 1998. Chavis was a beautiful person inside and out. To the world he was different, but to his family he was no different from anyone else. No matter what difficult obstacles life threw his way, Chavis always had a smile on his face. November 13, 1998, the day of his birth, his mother was told that he only had a couple of hours to live. By the Grace of God, a couple of hours turned into 14 years. Chavis fought a long hard battle and he is now at peace. He will always be very much loved and missed by his loved ones.

Chavis is survived by his mother Janet; a brother, Jordan; 3 sisters, Victoria, Ambrea and Sharyn.

Visitation will be 1:00 pm-4:00pm Thursday, August 29, 2013 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, August 30, 2013 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.

Burial will follow in Cumberland Cemetery, Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
