Carroll Louis Gray

SFC Carroll Louis Gray, (RET), 91, of Fayetteville peacefully passed away in his sleep on August 25, 2024. 

Carroll was born on May 4, 1933 to Charles William and Lillian Marie Gray. Carroll attended school in Louisville Kentucky. Upon graduation he enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country for 21 years. He enjoyed watching Westerns, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, playing solitaire and traveling. Carroll lived a vibrant life touching the lives of many people along the way. He was a faithful member of Reilly Road Presbyterian Church and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Carroll is survived by his lovely wife Mildred Gray of the home; eight children, Melody (Brad) Euhus of Charlotte, Anna (Larry) Brown of Fayetteville, Leona Gray (Phillip Weber) of Watertown, WI, Carol (Glenn Bunce) of Fayetteville, Ricky Carter (Sandra) of California, Gregory Carter of Georgia, Cheryl Flowers (Charles) and Morris Lee of Fayetteville; 21 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren the three great grandchildren. Carroll was preceded in death by his parents and two children, Charles and Jewel Gray. 

Graveside services will be 12:00 noon Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Cumberland Memorial Gardens, 4509 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304 with Elder Brenda Soles officiating.
