Candace McLamb Cox, born September 25, 1970, peacefully passed away on June 18, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved daughter of Grace and Thomas McLamb and sister to Tommy McLamb (Julie), who she cherished dearly. Candace was preceded in death by her husband, Woody Cox, and is survived by her son Cameron. She held her late son Grant Cox forever in her heart and was also a loving aunt to her niece, Taylor.

Candace dedicated 32 years of her life to Cumberland County Schools, where her passion for education and nurturing young minds shone brightly. Her commitment and compassion towards her students left an indelible mark on all those she taught and mentored.

Outside of her professional life, Candace found immense joy in cooking, a talent she generously shared with family and friends alike. Her culinary creations were a testament to her warmth and hospitality, creating lasting memories around the dinner table.

Candace's greatest happiness came from spending time with her close-knit circle of friends and family. Her genuine kindness and unwavering support endeared her to all who knew her, leaving a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Candace McLamb Cox's life will be held on Sunday June 23rd. at 2:00PM located at Highland Baptist Church 4456 Legion Rd. Hope Mills, NC 28348.

Forever in our hearts, Candace will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
