SGT Brandon Ray Suggs, 26, died Monday, November 24, 2014 in his home.
Brandon was born in Cumberland County on January 12, 1988 to Tiffany Blackwell Huff and Milton Earl Suggs II. He graduated from Cape Fear High School in 2007 and joined the US Army serving with the 82nd airborne and then with Special Forces. During his military career, he served three combat deployments. Brandon will forever be in our hearts and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Tiffany Huff and husband Harry of Lillington; father, Milton Earl Suggs II and wife Janie of Maryville, TN; brothers, Phillip Parry (Allie) of Lillington, Daniel Parry of Fayetteville, Patrick Taylor of Lillington and Milton E. Suggs III of Tennessee; sisters, Amanda Suggs, Genna Suggs and Brandi Suggs, all of Maryville, TN.; maternal grandmother, Sieglinda Melvin of Fayetteville; maternal grandfather, Vernon Neal Blackwell of Fayetteville; grandfather, Ronald Brower of Fayetteville; special aunt and uncle, Ashley and Allen McDuffie of Autryville and special first cousin, Joshua McDuffie and Olivia McDuffie, both of Fayetteville; ex-stepfather, Michael Taylor.
Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
Funeral Services will be 12:30 PM Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Airborne Artillery Chapel, Building #3 D-3733 Ardennes Street between Wood and JFK Chapels with CH. (CPT) Michael John Cerula officiating.
Burial will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC.
