Bonnie Gayle (Rosam) Berta

February 14, 1949 — April 2, 2022

Fayetteville

On April 2, 2022, Bonnie (Rosam) Berta of Fayetteville, NC passed away unexpectedly at her home.

Born and raised in Key West, Florida the Conch (native Key Wester), Bonnie graduated from Key West High school in 1967. She continued her studies at Florida Atlantic University, graduating in May, 1971 with a degree in Elementary Education and she first taught at Sugarloaf Elementary. After she and her husband moved to Tallahassee, Florida she taught at Lloyd Wesson Elementary. Bonnie played a critical role in her husband’s academic and analytical successes. She was also a fantastic housewife and mother. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Elmore Skelton Rosam and Marjorie Russell Rosam.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of nearly 49 years, John of Fayetteville, NC; a son, John Anthony Berta VI and Ashly Amanda (Jackson Berta of Mt Airy, NC; a daughter, Jillian (Berta) Clemons and Bill Clemons of Union, Kentucky; grandsons, John Michael VII and Riley Jackson I.

A visitation will be held 12:30 – 1:30 PM, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, 1000 Andrews Road, Fayetteville, NC 28311.

Funeral Services will begin at 1:30 PM following the visitation with Father Jack Kelly officiating.

Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
