Ms. Betty Lou Richardson Pittman, 80, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in her home.
Betty was born in Johnston County on April 3, 1936 to the late Henry Oris Richardson and Sallie Madie Holder Richardson. Betty was a Cafeteria Manager with the Cumberland County Schools before retiring. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Hubert Lance Pittman Sr., her grandson, Ken Hurlock and a brother, W.H. Richardson.
Betty is survived by her companion, Richard Glenn Comins of Fayetteville; sons, Hubert Lance Pittman Jr of Wendell and Anthony Glenn Pittman of Benson; daughters, Denise Rene Tibbit of Fayetteville and Pamela Jo Hicks of Wendell; a sister, Mamie Richardson of Norlina; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 AM Friday, April 29, 2016 at LaFayette Funeral Home, 6651 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
A Celebration of life will begin at 11:00 following the visitation with Rev. Mark Richardson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center, 1638 Owen Dr. Fayetteville, NC 28304.
