Mr. Belton Jones, 71, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in his home surrounded by his family.

Belton was born April 29, 1942 in Hoke County to the late Roscoe and Luella Jackson Jones. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Leevert Jones.

Mr. Belton Jones was the Owner and Operator of Belton’s Septic Tank Service for over 40 years. He was on the board of Lumbee Guarantee Bank for several years and held several positions at Cape Fear Baptist Church where he was a member for over 30 years. Mr. Jones was a very kind, loving and generous man to those who were in need.

He is survived by his loving wife, Maxine Jones of the home; sons, Wayne Jones and wife Sandy of Rockfish, NC, Frankie Jones and fiancé Michelle of Fayetteville, NC, Terry Jones of Hope Mills, NC and Tyson Locklear and wife Carolyn of Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Rita Davis of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Tony Ray Jones and wife Faye of Raeford, NC, Winford Paul Jones and wife Betty of Wagram, NC, Samuel Jones Barton and wife Ruth of Lumberton, NC, Leland Sanderson and wife Annie of Lumberton, NC, Roscoe Jones Jr. and wife Wanda of Huntsville, AL, sisters, Josephine Tyler of Raeford, NC, Sylvia Blanks and husband Tommie (TJ) of St. Pauls, NC and Georgia C. Seals and husband Wilson of Pembroke, NC; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Cape Fear Baptist Church Family Life Center, 100 Indian Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28312.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 Monday, February 17, 2014 at Cape Fear Baptist Church with Pastors Bruce Swett, Jerry Groves and Justin Mullins officiating.

Burial will follow the service in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery, 2881 Gillespie Street, Fayetteville, NC 28306.

The family would like to express a very special thanks to Cape Fear Hospice, Social worker Tina Barron, the CNA’s Paulette Parker, Yhetta Fitzgerald and Pam King; Nurses Jackie Christians, Marcia White, Paulette Hillis, Jean Brazell, June Biggs and Tina Joseph; Chaplain John Blackman and Robert Lewis; also LaFayette Funeral Home for their kind and considerate thoughts and deeds during this most difficult time of our lives.
