She was born in Fayetteville, NC on September 29, 1958 to the late Rodney McLaurin and the late Hilda Gray. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph McLaurin, and her father-in-law Harry Parham.

She is survived by her husband Ronnie Wayne Parham of the home; her son Chris Parham and wife Kami of Hardin, Illinois, and daughter Tonya Parham of Eastover, North Carolina; brothers Douglas McLaurin of Eastover, North Carolina; Walter McLaurin and wife Lora McLaurin of Eastover, North Carolina; sister Kathy Roop of Eastover, North Carolina; sister-in-law Judy McLaurin of Vander, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Kaylin, Gage, Opal and Kyzleigh Parham of Hardin, Illinois, Harlynn and Harrison Parham of Eastover, North Carolina; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Anita loved her beautiful life with her husband of 47 years. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she was very involved in their lives. She loved going to watch her granddaughter Harlynn dance. She loved her church family at Crystal Springs Chapel. She loved to sing in church, and loved the beach, baking, gardening, and all things Christmas.

Anita has fought the good fight of faith, she has finished the race and finished it well. She is in the arms of her Lord and Savior and with many loved ones that have gone on before her. If she could say anything to you today, it would be to cherish every moment you can with your loved ones, and to surrender your life to Jesus and trust God with all your heart despite the trials that life may bring because The Anchor Holds, in Spite of the Storm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Crystal Springs Chapel.
