MSG Angel Luis Molina Real (Ret.), 67, of Fayetteville, NC passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in his home.
Angel was born at his grandparent’s house in Santurce, Puerto Rico on January 8, 1956 to father, Maximiliano Molina and mother, Aida Real. He served in the US Army for over 27 years and retired in 2008 as a Master Sergeant. As the disease took over, his light began to fade and he peacefully entered eternal rest in his home on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Angel was a loving, caring, giving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and loyal friend. He gave of himself which made him dedicated, dependable and respected by all who knew him. He was happy and loved to laugh. Angel was a jokesta and a good joke made his day. Singing and dancing gave him his suaveness and grace. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Angel is preceded in death by his mother, Aida Real.
MSG Molina Real served with the upmost honor and received the following awards during his military career, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal, (5th Award), Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, (3rd Award), National Defense Service Medal, (2nd Award), South West Asia Service Medal W/Bronze Service Star, (2nd Award), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Non Commissioned Officers Professional Developmental Ribbon, (3rd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, (2nd Award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal with ‟M” Device and 20 Year Device, Driver and Mechanic Badge and Drill Sergeant Identification Badge.
He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Delores Molina of Fayetteville; his father, Maximiliano Molina; sons, Jonnathan Molina of Killeen, TX, Michael Luis Molina and wife Brandy of Fayetteville, Corey James Gaines of Fayetteville, Shannon Warren Gaines and wife Michelle of Charlotte, NC; siblings, Ana Luisa (Nani) Hernández-Real, Migdalia (Mita) Molina-Real, Aida Luz (Lulu) Molina-Real, Amarilis (Marlis) Molina-Real, Marines Molina-Real, Clarisol (Chachi) Molina-Real and Daniel (Danny) Molina-Real; 5 grandchildren, Jaylen Gaines, Cameron Gaines, Aniyah Molina, Michael Molina, Marissa Williams; Chico the Dog and many extended family members.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM at the All American Chapel, 5301 Ardennes Rd, Fort Bragg, NC 28307. Funeral Services will begin at 12:30 PM following the visitation with Reverend Larry Matthews officiating.
Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, 8220 Bragg Blvd, Fort Bragg, NC 28310.
